"Our bodies are designed for movement, but most of our daily activities are sedentary, and that can cause muscular and postural imbalances that lead to pain and injuries. My training philosophy uses total-body movements that focus on posture, endurance, balance and strength."
North Loop Fitness will revolutionize how you think about exercise, your body and your life. Most health club weight machines take the function out of body movements, restricting your muscles’ full potential. Our holistic approach uses total-body movements, agility training and weightlifting, while simultaneously giving your body a metabolic interval workout. We can customize a strength training and healthy eating program that guarantees dramatic results when followed consistently. This approach will enable you to reform bad habits and stay fit for life.
Led by owner Rob Duggan, our expert trainers follow a comprehensive four-step process to make sure you acquire the skills and get the guidance you need:
North Loop Fitness provides an ideal training environment with a clean, modern facility and state-of-the-art equipment, plus some surprising innovations — like industrial chains and tractor tires.
Fitness isn’t just a career for North Loop Fitness founder Rob Duggan. Rob lives, breathes and sweats fitness — all day, every day.
Rob has been involved in the fitness industry for more than 20 years helping people get the most from their workout routines. As a veteran of the Minneapolis Fire Department, he has experience in training people for the demands of fire, law enforcement and EMT response. By drawing on these experiences, he has learned to tailor his workouts for elite athletes looking for an edge…and busy business professionals looking to shed some weight.
In 2006, he opened North Loop Fitness to share his passion for fitness and help others achieve their goals. When he’s not training clients, you can find Rob walking around the gym, helping members fine-tune their form or adjust their routines. Over the years, Rob has learned what works — and what doesn’t. Through continuous learning he knows what it takes to get into shape. His philosophy is simple:
Rob focuses on functional, total-body movements while teaching clients how to perform them with intensity and precision. His understanding of biomechanics allows him to adjust to anyone's fitness level and achieve results faster.
